“This is not just a training, it is an initiation.”
— Oscar Leon, Student & ELP Intern

Sometimes we come to a crossroads in our lives — a pivotal moment when we look around and consider what might be next on our path…

What if your soul’s calling could become your career? Or an added training for your existing profession?

Imagine serving others as an End-of-Life Practitioner (ELP), supporting them at the end of their lives during the most precious transition there is — and witnessing an essential piece of life’s great mystery.

An End-of-Life Practitioner (ELP), also known as a Death Doula, is a trained professional who offers non-medical support to the dying and their families. They complement services that a dying person and their family may be receiving, including hospice or palliative care — and provide a range of holistic services, including physical, emotional, spiritual, and practical support.

The path of an ELP might also be for you if you’re a medical professional, therapist, or other practitioner who’s seeking ways to support your clients more fully. Or perhaps you were there at the moment of a loved one’s death.

No matter what brought you here, you’ve been transformed — as we all are — by witnessing and being part of someone’s end-of-life journey.

Take the next step in your soul’s evolution — explore
becoming an End-of-Life Practitioner

In many ways, it’s a pivotal moment for those who feel called to this work. ELP's are on the cusp of formal accreditation, with a similar trajectory to chiropractors and acupuncturists — and the HeartWay’s yearlong training is among the most comprehensive in this field.

Yet, sadly, many Death Doula/ELP education programs are little more than weekend workshops that fall very short of properly training and preparing practitioners for this beautifully complex work.

Because we know that the work of an ELP is much more than just an occupation, the very best training is absolutely essential.

Our unique, holistic End-of-Life Practitioner (ELP) Training and Certification is designed to equip and empower you to support your clients in the death and dying process, in all dimensions .

Our immersive, integrative training program encompasses every facet of the ELP’s role, exploring this work through a multidisciplinary lens — from historical to mythological to therapeutic — so you’ll understand every facet of this deeply meaningful work, including how to advocate for your clients while navigating end-of-life medical communities.

The HeartWay End-of-Life Practitioner Training is a multi-faceted yearlong certification — including an internship and ongoing professional mentorship, the only of its kind — so you have the practical wisdom as well as clinical expertise to provide end-of-life care.

As we’ll share during our Q&A event, our approach to care is compassion-focused and relationship-centered, addressing both personal and professional development through experiential learning and practical application.

You’ll hear all the details of our depth training and certification during our live event (or you can get a sneak peek right here).

Deepen into your inquiry and bring your most pressing questions to our LIVE Q&A as you discover the transformative power and professional development of our unique training and certification — the only one of its kind.
